Computer science is the process of solving complex organizational problems using technical solutions. It plays a vital role in developing and managing financial, communication, education and healthcare sectors all around the world which has spurred my interest.

I would like to explore the cyber-security aspect of computer science as it is pertinent to contemporary society. Specifically, data needs to be protected from unauthorized access, theft, or manipulation. Being knowledgeable in encryption techniques, access controls, data loss prevention (DLP) tools, and secure backup solutions are used to safeguard sensitive data would be...valuable. Similarly, I find the concept of ethical hacking engrossing. I would like to develop skills such as through penetration testing, which involves stimulating cyberattacks to appraise the security posture of an organization, to identify vulnerabilities in systems and networks before malicious attackers can exploit them.

I would also like to delve into artificial intelligence. AI and ML aim to create systems that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. This includes tasks such as understanding natural language, recognizing patterns in data, making decisions, and learning from experience. The idea of creating machines that can think, reason, and learn like humans is inherently intriguing.
